Bike

Many bikes.
Sometimes self-built.

Gravel, road, fixie and a St. Pauli mountain bike, because some things need no explanation.

I built the fixie myself from a frame — only frame and fork were there, the rest came together piece by piece. It runs as a single-speed or a true fixed gear. For my son we built a TT/triathlon bike together. Same there: only the frame was given.

Fixie / single speed

Self-built from a fixed-gear frame

Once upon a time there was a fixed-gear frame and a fork. Every part chosen and fitted one by one. Rides as a single speed or a true fixie, depending on the day and the mood.

Gravel

On and off the road

My most versatile bike. Gravel, forest trails, long tours — I just grab it and go. No compromise in any one direction.

When it’s all about speed

For the tarmac. For the speed. For the fun. But the others can keep the Strava KOMs.

Because Millerntorplatz isn’t a climb

A mountain bike with attitude. St. Pauli. Not just for the Hamburger Berg.

Project

TT/triathlon

For my son. From a single frame.

“We only had the frame. The rest we searched for, ordered and assembled together.”

A TT bike forgives no half decisions — everything is aligned to a single position, every part depends on the next. Starting with just a frame means understanding that from the start. Crank length, aero extensions, wheels — we discussed, researched and ordered it all together. At some point it was no longer a project but a finished bike. And afterwards my son knew exactly how one of these things actually works.
